
Code of Conduct​​​

The House of Fire and Bones is a sacred spiritual space rooted in Palo Briyumba and ancestral traditions. This Code of Conduct exists to protect the integrity of the work, the safety of the community, and the respect owed to the spirits, ancestors, and practitioners. All clients, visitors, students, collaborators, and community members are expected to abide by these principles.

1. Sacred Respect

This house operates as a spiritual space, not entertainment

Disrespect toward the spirits, ancestors, lineages, rituals, or traditions is not tolerated.

Mockery, skepticism expressed in a disruptive manner, or antagonistic behavior toward spiritual practices will result in immediate removal.

2. Cultural and Spiritual Integrity

Palo Briyumba and traditions are closed, initiatory practices.
​

Sacred knowledge is shared only at the discretion of the Tata/Yayi and according to spiritual law.

No recording, photographing, live-streaming, or note-taking of rituals, consultations, or sacred items without explicit permission.
​

Cultural appropriation, misrepresentation, or extraction of knowledge is strictly prohibited.

​3. Clients and Visitor Conduct
​

Arrive sober and spiritually clean (no drugs or alcohol before sessions unless spiritually instructed).

Follow all instructions given during consultations, rituals, or spiritual work.

Do not touch sacred items, vessels, or tools unless invited.
-
Aggressive, disruptive, or disrespectful behavior toward staff, clergy, or other clients will not be tolerated.

4. Boundaries and Authority

The Tata/Yayi is the final authority within this house.

Spiritual advice is given based on divination and ancestral guidance, not personal preference.

Clients may decline services, but may not argue, challenge, demand alternative spiritual outcomes.

Harassment, coercion, manipulation, or attempts to spiritually test the house are grounds for permanent exclusion.

5. Ethical Spiritual Practice

No work is performed to intentionally harm innocents, violate spiritual law, or interfere with another practitioner’s house.

We do not guarantee outcomes. Spiritual work is influenced by free will, ancestral permission, and divine timing.

Fees are for time, materials, and labor–not for guaranteed results.
6. Confidentiality and Privacy

All consultations, divinations, and spiritual matters are strictly confidential.

Clients are expected to respect the privacy of other clients and the house.

​Gossiping, sharing experiences without consent, or attempting to expose spiritual workings is prohibited.
7. Health, Legal, and Personal Responsibility Disclaimer, Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

All services provided by The House of Fire and Bones are religious and spiritual in nature and are offered solely for faith-based purposes, spiritual counseling, and personal insight.

Services do not constitute medical advice, mental health counseling, psychological treatment, legal advice, or financial advice under the laws of the State of Florida.

​The House of Fire and Bones does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease, illness, or condition.

Clients are advised and encouraged to seek licensed professionals for medical, mental health, legal, or financial concerns.

Participation in spiritual services is voluntary and based on the client’s personal spiritual beliefs.

No guarantees, warranties, or promises are made regarding outcomes, results, or effects of any spiritual work.

Assumption of Risk

Clients acknowledge that spiritual services may involve emotional, psychological, or spiritual experiences.

By engaging services, clients voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to emotional responses, personal reflection, or changes in belief or perspective.
Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Florida law, clients agree to release, waive, and hold harmless The House of Fire and Bones, its owner, clergy, representatives, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from participation in spiritual services.

This release applies whether services are provided in person, remotely, online, or through written spiritual guidance.

By engaging services, clients acknowledge full personal responsibility for their decisions, actions, and life outcomes.

8. Florida Religious Practice & Fortune-Telling Exemption

The House of Fire and Bones operates as a religious and spiritual house rooted in ancestral traditions.

​Services are protected expressions of religious belief and spiritual counseling and are not offered as commercial fortune-telling under Florida law.

Fees charged are for time, materials, ritual preparation, and clergy labor, not for predicting the future or guaranteeing outcomes.
9. Payment, Appointments, and Cancellations

Payment is required as agreed before services begin.
-
Missed appointments without notice may result in forfeited deposits.
-
Disputes must be handled respectfully and privately.

​Chargebacks, threats, or bad-faith actions will result in permanent service refusal.
10. Accessibility & ADA Considerations

The House of Fire and Bones is committed to providing reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Clients requesting accommodations should notify the house in advance when possible.

Certain rituals or spaces may have spiritual or physical limitations; accommodations will be made when feasible without compromising spiritual law or safety.

11. Children and Dependents

Children may only be present with explicit permission.

​No child may be present during ritual work unless spiritually appropriate and approved.

Guardians are responsible for supervision at all times.
12. Online, Remote, and Booking Acknowledgement

Booking services online, by phone, or in person constitutes acknowledgement and acceptance of this Code of Conduct.

Clients confirm they are at least 18 years of age or have legal guardian consent.
-
​Electronic acceptance, payment, or attendance serves as legal agreement to all terms herein.
13. Enforcement​​​

Violation of this Code may result in:

Permanent banning from The House of Fire and Bones

No refunds will be issued for violations.

Agreement
​
By entering this space, booking services, or engaging with The House of Fire and Bones, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Code of Conduct.
